Australian Open – Women’s Singles Final Serena Williams against Justine Henin

In women’s singles, Serena Williams managed to progress to the final after she prevailed over Chinese Na Li with 2-0 sets after a very exciting and tough game. Na Li produced stern opposition and she can be described as a bit unlucky, as she lost both sets on tie break.
In the final Williams will play Belgian Justine Henin who managed to secure an easy win over Chinese Jie Zheng with 2-0 sets. The Australian Open women’s final is scheduled for Saturday night at 19:30 local time. In women’s doubles, Williams sisters (Venus and Serena) managed to win the Final against the double of Cara Black and Liezel Huber with 2-0 sets. In the first set the United States duo manage to break the service of Black and Huber once and won the set with 6-4 games. In the second set, the Williams double trouble performed solid style of play managing two breaks this time winning the second set with 6-3 games and the match with 2-0 sets in one hour and 24 minutes.
Serena Williams is playing competitive matches for the last four days and the question that rises is if she will be physically ready to follow Henin’s pace.
Saturday is the day of finals of Australian open as besides the women’s final of Serena Williams against Justine Henin there are also the Junior Boys’ Singles Final where Sean Berman from Austria will face Tiago Fernandes from brazil, the Junior Girls Singles Final where the British Laura Robson will play against the Czech Karolina Pliskova and the Men’s Doubles Final where Rob and Mike Bryan from United states will play against Daniel Nestor from Canada and Nenad Zimonjic from Serbia.
The Junior finals are scheduled to start around 13:00 local time while the Women’s Single Final and the Men’s Doubles Final will start around 19:30 local time.
We shouldn’t neglect to mention that on Saturday the Women’s Wheelchair Singles Final and the Men’s Wheelchair Singles Final will be played as well. At women’s Korie Homan from Netherlands will face Florence Gravellier from France, while in the men’s final, Shingo Kunieda from Japan will play against French Stephane Houdet.
