CEREUS Network Security Flaw Fixed

May 6th was when PokerTableRatings.com reported an existing flaw to the Cereus network with both UB.com and Absolutepoker.com being affected; the nature of the flaw had to do with the non-usage of SSL encryption protocols on shared or public networks with a result being that a hacker can have shared local network as a player, to be able to access his account and to see his pocket cards on real time. Although no hacking attempts were reported, the two above mentioned online card rooms experienced up to 9% drop of traffic at peak hours.
However, as the Tokwiro (mother company of Cereus Network) Chief Operating Officer Paul Leggett stated, the network has implemented and released an updated version which uses Open SSL encryption. The COO stated also that the update covers all the Client Server communications and in cooperation with a third party auditor and PokerTableRatings.com the company is running tests in order to verify that there are no other possible security flaws.
