European Weekend Results

In England only two matches were played for the 19th day of Premiership during the weekend as the extremely bad weather conditions postponed 5 matches. Arsenal managed to get one point with a late equalizer on the injury time after they draw against Everton in the Emirates Stadium with a final score of 2-2. Everton managed to score with Osman and Denilson bringing a draw to the match for Arsenal. Everton took the lead again with a goal of Pienaar on the 81st minute. However, this was not enough as The Gunners managed to draw with a goal from Rosicky at the injury time.
On the second match played Birmingham scored twice but they only managed to bring a draw against Manchester United. Jerome score first for Birmingham but an own goal of Dann equalized the match to the final 1-1.
In Italy we had a full match day where the teams that played at home prevailed over the hosted. Roma and Inter Milan manage to secure the 3 win points against Chievo and Sienna. Napoli beat Sampdoria with 1-0 while AC Milan demolished Juventus with 3-0 at Turin and made their intentions clear by hunting down Inter. Juventus, Roma, Fiorentina, Napoli and Palermo will battle for the 2 tickets that lead to the Champions League playoffs as their margin is currently only 3 points.
In Spain for the Primera Division Athletico Madrid passed the obstacle of Valladolid easily with 0-4 and get the 3 win points that boosted them to the 11th position. Sevilla suffered a surprising defeat from Racing Santander with 1-2 at home and fell back to the 5th position. Villarreal also didn’t manage to overcome the obstacle of Almeria as they only draw 1-1. The leaders of the standings continue with wins. Barcelona demolished Tenerife on an away match with 0-5 having an unstoppable Messi scoring 3 goals. Real Madrid beat Mallorca with 2-0 and they are currently on second position just 2 points behind Barcelona. Valencia and Deportivo manage both to secure the win as well as they prevail over Osasuna and Xerez respectively.
