Manchester United is hosting tonight at 19:45 GMT the second leg game of the first knock out phase of Champions League against [...]

Manchester United is hosting tonight at 19:45 GMT the second leg game of the first knock out phase of Champions League against AC Milan. This is a very interesting game as Manchester United has the home advantage plus the away win of 3-2 fourteen days ago. That means that Milan needs at least two goals in order to progress to the next stage.

Manchester United is at excellent condition and after the away win over Wolves they climbed on top of Premiership standings with 2 points margin from Chelsea. Sir Alex Ferguson will not have the services of Wes Brawn who is out with a broken foot injury and Michael Carrick’s who is suspended but Wayne Rooney is expected to be back on the starting eleven. The advantage of Manchester United is that the team can perform above average in the whole duration of a game on the contrary of AC Milan which due to the players age are performing very good at the beginning but their performance drops as the game goes to its end. However, Milan needs to score at least two goals in order to progress which will not be an easy task in the Old Trafford.

Milan’s manager Leonardo was pleased to see Pato and Seedorf fit again and most likely both will be in the starting eleven. However, Milan will need to push hard Manchester United as they need two goals margin in order to progress to the next stage and although they might be successful the question is how many goals they will concede. Ferguson knows that the best defense against a desperate Milan side is to keep a balanced team focused on attack.

It is likely that Manchester United will play a 4-4-2 formation with Rooney and Berbatov switching places in the attack while Valencia and Park will be the wingers. In the middle Scholes will have a more creative role while Fletcher will replace suspended Carrick as anchorman. In the defense, Van der Sar will be the goalkeeper while Neville most likely will replace Rafael who hand a hard time against Ronaldinho. Vidic and Ferdinand will be the central defenders while Evra will be featured to his usual left side.

On the other hand, Leonardo mot likely will play a 4-1-2-1-2 formation with Abbiati, Bonera, Nesta, Antonini and Zambrotta in the defense, Gattuso as anchorman with Pirlo and Seedorf in front of them. Ronaldinho will have a free role and act as third attacker as Pato and Hunterlaar will be in the attack.

Online Sports Books offer Manchester United home win to a very good price of 1.65 while the draw is up to 3.65 and Milan’s away win reaching in some occasions 5.00.

The fact is that Manchester will be happy with a win, a draw even with a defeat of 1-2 as all the above mentioned results grand them the ticket for the Champions League Quarter final stage. No matter how the game will go, Milan will have to push from the very first minute in order to score and this is something that Manchester United will use it towards their favor.

The best betting choice should be the Over 2.5 goals where you can find it at a very good price of 1.75. If you would like to bet on a correct score prediction then choose the 2-1(6.50), 2-2(14.50), 1-2(13.50) or 3-1(11.00)

Fiorentina is hosting the match tonight at 19:45 GMT against Bayern Munich for the Champions League. This is the second leg game as fifteen nights ago, Bayern Munich was able to secure a 2-1 victory over the Italians after they scored a controversially goal from off-side position. Both teams are not in a very good shape as they both performed under expectations in their last games for their domestic leagues. Fiorentina suffered a home defeat from Juventus while Bayern Munich was unable to overcome the obstacle of Koln on their away fixture. However, Bayern Munich’s last visit to Italy can be considered more than victory as they demolished Juventus with a 1-4 score and they secured the tickets for this Champions League stage. The Germans do know how to secure the right results and this is exactly what they will do tonight; however Fiorentina is also an experienced team which performs fantastic at home. In the last three games Fiorentina has managed to secure three wins scoring 8 goals while conceding just 2.

Fiorentina will not have the services of Camberini, Mutu and Gobbi but Santana, Gilardino and Donadel are all fit and most likely they will be in the starting eleven. On the other hand, Demichelis and Contento are unavailable for Bayern Munich but Robben and Ribery are full fit and will be featured in the starting eleven. Online sport books have Fiorentina as underdogs for this match and they offer the home win high up to 2.95. The draw is at 3.40 while the away win of Bayern Munich is also high at 2.25. The over and under for this match are sharing the same odds (1.85) and this is an indication that the match can go easily either way. An excellent choice is the Double chance of Fiorentina / X which is on offer around 1.55.

After last week’s short break due to International friendly fixtures we are back on track with the second leg games for the first knock out phase of champions’ league. Two great games are in tonight’s menu as Arsenal will play against Porto while Bayern will travel to north Italy to face Fiorentina. Tonight at 19:45 GMT at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal will host the match against Porto for the second leg of the first Knock out phase of Champions League. Arsenal is currently in excellent condition despite the loss of the some key players due to injury problems. In the first leg game they suffered an away defeat with a 2-1 score which leaves them with the necessity for a home win. Arsene Wenger will not have the services of Fabregas, van Persie, Gallas, Djourou and Gibbs but he was pleased to see that Arsavin, Song, Denilson and Diaby are fully fit and ready for the match against Porto.

On the other hand, Porto’s manager Jesualdo Ferreira is not facing any major problems as Nuno, Hulk and Fucile are ready to play and they are expected to be in the starting eleven. This certainly will be a close game as both teams want to progress as further as possible in the champions’ league tournament. Porto has a narrow advantage due to the 2-1 first leg result but they are mainly an attacking team and most likely will not seat back to protect their fragile advantage. On the other hand, Arsenal is performing superbly at home while they tend to score quite easily but as they need only one goal while adapt their tactics accordingly.

Porto and Arsenal have each one to face a different negative tradition for the tonight’s match. Arsenal have only once managed to progress to the European’s league next stage after they suffered a defeat while Porto didn’t win the last 13 times they played in British soil. However, Porto will be more than happy tonight if they lost the game by a score higher than the 2-1 or manage to secure a draw. The online sport books have Arsenal as favorites at 1.60 while the draw is high up to 3.65 and Porto’s away win is up to the 5.50. The Over 2.5 goals is a good choice as both teams love to score and it is offered on a very good price of 1.75. If you would like to bet on a correct score then a good choice is the 2-1 which leads the game to extra time (6.75).

Tonight at 20:00 GMT Wigan will host the match against Liverpool for the 29th Premiership match day at DW Stadium. This is an excellent opportunity for Liverpool to move up further in the Premiership standings as a win will boost them in the fourth position with 51 points and they will hold firmly a champions league qualification ticket. Wigan is currently on the 16th position with 25 points after 27 matches. They hold a good home record with 3 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats. They managed to score 11 goals while they conceded 18. Relegation candidates Wigan are on a bad shape as they have managed to secure only three points in their last six matches (three draws) and they are severely threatened by Wolves, Hull and Burnley which are just a point below them.

On the other hand, Liverpool is performing quite well in the league and they are currently in the 6th position with 48 points after 28 matches. Their away record is 4 wins, 4 draws and 6 defeats. They managed to score 12 goals while they conceded 16. This is a crucial match for Liverpool as a win will boost them in the fourth position which is the main target for this season. Wigan will not have the services of N’Zogbia and Scharner while Aurelio will be out for Liverpool. However, Rafa Benitez is pleased to see Torres and Gerrard back in line as those two players add high quality to the Liverpool squad. The game for the first round played at 16th of December where Liverpool managed to secure a hard fought victory with 2-1 score.

Our sportsbetting tip for this game is that Liverpool will win the match quite easily. They will want to finish the game as soon as possible as the away match against Lille for the UEFA Europa League follows after 3 days time. Wigan is a tough opponent when they play at home but they just do not posses the quality to be a match against high caliber opponents as Liverpool is. Liverpool’s away win is at a very good prize of 1.55 and this should be your betting pick. The draw is up to 3.75 while Wigan’s home win is high up to 6.00. Online sport books have the Under 2.5 goals at 1.70 mainly because Wigan is unable to score which is also a very good bet. If you would like to risk a little further then choose the 0-2 as correct score – the odds for this one is around 5.25.

Arsenal – Burnley at Emirates Stadium on Saturday, 6 March at 15:00 GMT

This is a first class opportunity for Arsenal and Manchester United to continue their winning streak and overcome Chelsea; Arsenal will host the match against struggling Burnley at 15:00 GMT while the Wolves will host the match against the second placed Manchester United at 17:30 GMT. Arsenal is hosting this match with the hope for the 4th consecutive victory which will allow them to continue their battle for the 2009-2010 Premier League Championship. After their defeat from Chelsea back at Feb 7th, the Gunners have managed to secure wins over Liverpool (home 1-0), Sunderland (home 2-0) and Stoke (away 1-3). The game against Burnley will not be an easy one as The Clarets are battling hard to avoid relegation. The Gunners are occupying the third spot in premiership standings with 58 points after 28 games – just three points below the top spot. Arsenal is performing exceptionally at home where they managed to secure 11 wins, 1 draw and suffered only 2 defeats. They scored 38 goals while they conceded 14.

On the other hand, Burnley is on the 19th position, part of a group of total 5 teams that are battling to avoid relegation. They have managed to gather just 23 points after 27 matches and their away record is tragic with only 1 draw and 13 defeats. They managed to score 10 goals while they conceded 43. Arsenal is experiencing some major defensive problems as Song, Campbell, Djourou and Gallas are unavailable. In addition, Gibbs, Merida, Van Persie and Vela are also out with injury problems. However, Arsenal is very lucky that it is facing Burnley opposed to any other team as their task could have proven quite difficult with all their absent players. Burnley is coming to this match with the hope to gain a point from the troubled Arsenal side but their task will be a very difficult one even if they choose to play with 11 men behind the middle of the pitch. Our Betting pick for this match is of course Arsenal’s home win which you can find it around 1.15; this is a low odd bet but given the problems of Arsenal in combination with the highly defensive tactics of Burnley we might not see a high scoring game.

Wolverhampton V Manchester United at Molineux Stadium on Saturday, 6 March at 17:30 GMT

This is an excellent opportunity for Manchester United to double their wins as Wolves are struggling to avoid relegation. Wolves are currently in the 17th spot in the Premiership standings with 24 points after 27 matches. Their home record is 4 wins, 3 draws and 7 defeats while they scored 10 goals and conceded 19. On the other hand, Manchester United is just a point behind leaders with 60 points after 28 matches. Sir Alex Ferguson’s team has managed to secure 7 wins and 2 draws on away games while they have suffered 5 defeats. They scored 27 goals while they conceded 16. Wolves will be missing some very important key players as Keogh, Kightly and Edwards are unavailable. On the other hand, Manchester United will not have the services of Rooney, Owen and Giggs while Ferdinard and Nani will be back in action. United will want to secure the three points of victory in order to – even temporary – overcome Chelsea. Our Betting pick for this match is Manchester’s away win which you will find it around 1.30. It will be a good idea to combine Arsenal and Manchester to a single bet as this will give you a 1.5 odds which is not bad at all.

FIA has released a statement that USF1 will not participate to any race event for the 2010 Formula 1 season due to [...]

FIA has released a statement that USF1 will not participate to any race event for the 2010 Formula 1 season due to financial problems that led the company to an all stop progress of the car development. In addition, they denied entry to Serbian outfit Stephan GP team with the excuse that it is too late at this stage to grand entry to a new team and the only thing that is possible is for the team to apply for next year’s grand prix season. Furthermore, they granted permission to Campos Meta team to be renamed to HRT (as the ownership changed). It seems that something is wrong with the FIA regulations regarding potential entries to Formula 1. They luck strict time schedules where they should re-evaluate the progress of the teams plus they delayed excessively to investigate the USF1 affair. That delay, led to a denial of entry of the Stephan GP team which would brought back on track two very good drivers, Jacques Villeneuve (with thousands of fans) and Kazuki Nakajuma.

We totally agree with Jacques Villeneuve’s statement stating that Stephan GP would be better than the other new teams such as Lotus, Virgin and HRT as they were already working on last year Toyota’s competitive car. If FIA really wanted the team on board, they could easily propose an alternative to the Serbian team based on the Concord Agreement. That should have given enough time to the team to make all the necessary preparations in order to be in the starting grid as the fourth Grand Prix is scheduled for the April 18th (China). Can the new teams repeat a fraction of last year Brown GP’s success or we will watch a comedy show on Grand Prix days? We will soon have the answer to that as the first Grand Prix for the 2010 season is less than nine days away (Bahrain – 14th of March)

Party Gaming Plc holding company of popular brands partypoker.com, partycasino.com, partybets.com, partybingo.com and inter trader which has come to replace party markets has presented its 2009 fiscal reports with a $446.2 revenue tracing a 5.7% decline in comparison to the previous year 2008. The increased US competition from US poker rooms seems to have had a negative impact over its poker product which has reported a decline of 28.3% opposed to its casino brand which has reported a 12.1% increase over 2008 figures.

Significantly increased figures have been reported for its online bingo product and its sports betting division which have both increased amazingly in revenues as they have presented a combined $32.8 million in revenues; therefore capitalizing on the rapidly increasing popularity for online bingo and sportsbook products. Party Gaming has moved in to expensive acquisitions during the past year which seem to have not placed the expected output to pay off the cost that has been placed for the deals as the London Stock Listed company has amongst others acquired the rights of the World Poker Tour which has proved to be an expensive deal as it is in question if it will be able to pay off its contributed capital in the short run due to the complications that might arise if the US market does not open in the following year.

It is well mentioned that the US market has both previously and at this point in time proved to be an expensive sport for PartyGaming which in addition to the acquisition of the WPT for reasons of making its possible return to the US market smooth; another $105 million have been agreed to be paid over the next 3.5 years in order to settle outstanding debts related to the UIGEA and its presence in the US market between the period of 1998 – 2006. After the announcement of figures; PRTY.L which is the Party Gaming prefix for its stock which is listed on the LSE closed at 310.1 pence.

With an announcement that may well significantly reshape the landscape of online cash games, PokerStars has recently established a timetable to review the current minimum and maximum buy-in on NL / PL real-money tables. What this means? The current minimum buy in to the classical NL / PL cash game tables at Pokerstars (20BBs) undermines the quality and profitability of the game, giving players an incentive to ’shortstack’; Critics of this practice argue that short stacking is bad for the game and discourages action significantly as it reduces the level of skill involved. On the other hand, fans of this regular unsurprisingly claim; that critics of this strategy are in reality simply jealous or misinformed and believe that shortstacking is simply a profitable strategy which is formed naturally in the field of online poker.

PokerStars have brought the issue to surface in the past, by adding a category of tables in the cash game lobby with a minimum buy in of 50BBs. The solution was not enough to satisfy a large chunk of pokerstars.com players seeking changes. What kind of changes will take place? It is hard to say, but major online poker rooms seem to be moving in the same direction by issuing higher than normal buy ins. Full Tilt has a 35BB minimum at the tables, while Party Poker and Everest have announced a change in policy to buy in. Absolute and UB maintain minimum fee at 20BB similar to poker rooms hosted on the Cake Poker Network.
