Full Tilt Poker: “The Poker Lounge”

After the announcement by PokerStars in regards to launching a poker tv show going under the name “Big Game”, Full Tilt Poker follows up by announcing the launch of its own version o a poker TV show going under the name “The Poker Lounge”. The Poker Lounge series will present one amateur player to play against five professionals of the the Full Tilt Poker team and will be broadcast on Channel 4 UK. “The Poker Lounge” will be filmed in London and will be broadcast on Channel 4 on a weekly basis from June 21 until August 23; ten episodes will take place in total in each of which is shown an amateur player who is selected by the second largest online poker website in the world and will address five known professionals.
The only confirmed entries so far employed are those of Phil Ivey and Gus Hansen. Ivey came to know the final table of the 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event and is a leading player in prize money in tournaments of all time. Hansen is one of the 3 players who have won three titles World Poker Tour (WPT). Needless to say competition will be very intense. Each “Poker Lounge” show will have a $ 20,000 buy in with the winner receiving the entire prize money of $ 120,000. Qualifiers for “The Poker Lounge” will be starting on April 4th at Full Tilt Poker and will run through July 4th. A total of eight packages of $ 22,000 will be up for grabs and the buy-in every tournament is set at $640. If this digit sum exceeds the strength of your bankroll, Full Tilt Poker ‘will be running’ qualifiers which start at just $ 10.
To find the tournaments for the “Poker Lounge”, open the Full Tilt Poker lobby and select the “Standard View.” Click on “Tournament –> Live Events –> All –> All Types –> Highest. The tournament “Poker Lounge Qualifier” will be highlighted in green. Sign up and you might find yourself in England with the opportunity to claim the top prize of $ 120,000. The package includes $ 22,000 to $ 20,000 “Poker Lounge” buy-in and $ 2,000 in travel and other expenses. Bidders, however, are responsible themselves to settle their accommodation and travel arrangements.
