The accusations against the popular European facing online poker network which hosts amongst others a series of the most successful online poker rooms including Titan Poker and Mansion Poker was posted at poker forum 2+2 from “bigbrennan” regarding a refusal of payment of a $160,000 worth jackpot.
The British player which was participating in the $ 50 + $ 9 Fort Knox SNG Jackpot had managed to wrap up a total of 6 consecutive wins but has been denied the payment of his wins due to a traced unfair practice from the hosting network which is the primary reason he is being refused his winnings. According to bigbrennan and his thread posted on 2+2, the player has been denied a payment due to a number of reasons which are stated below; he opens his thread with an intro stating that he had accepted a sponsorship from badbeat.com during his participation on the tournament which is the reason he played from an account belonging to badbeat.com in the first place. The communication between the player and ipoker which the player had posted; clearly states that the reasons for the denial of payment are due to investigation as during the time of the tournament, 2 players had been recorded to be participating with accounts showing ownership under the wing of badbeat.com which therefore gives the network reasoning to state that the two players could have been sharing details about hands and engaging in soft play, additionally a participating British player was traced to be present at the same tables engaging in a worrying non sense losing pattern of play at the same tables which therefore was favouring the two players sponsored by badeat.com.
It is well mentioned that ipoker has not made any official comments about this incident yet; but according to its policy if the above points highlighted by ipoker can be proved there is a very fair chance the ipoker will rightfully not pay the “winnings”.
