We made it clear from the very first day of the NFL playoffs that the New Orleans Saints can win the Super Bowl Final despite being labeled as underdogs from all the online sports books. The Saints did it as they managed to come back alive despite the Colts’ first quarter domination. The game didn’t start with the best signs for the Saints as Indianapolis dominated the first quarter leading with 10-0. New Orleans seemed unable to follow Colts play and the fans were wondering if the Saints will be able to fight back or not. All those who chose to bet using the live betting option were watching the odds of a New Orleans win to rise higher and higher until the end of the first quarter.
However, the element that led the Saints to the final appeared again on the second quarter as they managed to score six points without conceding any. It was clear once again that New Orleans will fight this game all the way to the end. The morale was high again at the Saints side as they started to believe that are able to win the Super Bowl. However, Colts still had the lead with 10-6 at the end of first half.
At the third quarter we were watching two evenly sided teams on the pitch but the Saints managed to score 10 points while the Colts only 7. The third quarter ended with the Colts leading the game with a fragile 17-16. It was uncertain that moment what the outcome could be as online sports books were offering only a slight advantage on the Colts as more and more people was betting on a win from the Saints.
The fourth quarter started and the Saints were pushing Colts deeper and deeper all the way down to the 5 yards. The Saints scored a touchdown at 5’.42’’ before the end and got the lead with 24 – 17. At that time the Colts collapsed as they were not able to follow Saints pace. One error was following another until a pass was intercepted by the Saints and they scored the final touchdown 3 minutes and 13 seconds before the end. The score became 31 – 17 and the celebrations in New Orleans begun.
This was the best way for New Orleans to end a spectacular season as they dominated almost every match in the regular season (13-3) and they managed three straight wins during the NFL playoffs against Arizona, Minnesota and Indianapolis.
