Players with poker patches – or badges – of the leading platforms in the world and the World Series of Poker was inextricably connected to a common path for years.Sites like Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars adorned their t-shirts and shirts of famous players, while the other players and those aspiring to a ‘deep run’ which will attract the spotlight on them in hopes they too wear someday a patch known platform.
This year, however, somewhat mercy … hermaphrodite situation in question the legality of online poker and leading companies issue patches of particular concern to the community. The PokerStars Team professionals seemed not undismayed by the ‘ Black Friday ‘ , while the professionals of Full Tilt Poker … appear divided, with John Tzouanta and Erick Lindgren to wear a symbol indicative of the platform and Tom Dwan can not be modified.
One of the players defending the patches of Full Tilt and continues to be wearing and Brandon Adams reported the matter to his personal blog last week.Adams feels that the Full Tilt deserves the confidence … until they prove otherwise. “I wear the patch more as a kind of loyalty, because I know the guys from Full Tilt and the like. They trust and believe that I am doing well .Like every other player moves at the poker course so I have left dumbfounded by the fact that the poker world is suffering … and a little terrified that Full Tilt has not fulfilled its obligations to players in a short time. ”
Several poker players, however, took up position on the controversial issue during the WSOP in the Rio .The professionals of Full Tilt Poker declined to discuss the situation openly as Adams, but practitioners of other sites have not hesitated to speak.
Eric Baldwin, Marketing bracelet – “I really do not have a clear view. I tried to stay out of all this is because in fact very few facts have become known. People see them spend hours and hours filling the pages of the forum rumors n “sound right and left, so I try to stay a bit outside, I have my head quiet and concentrate solely on poker. I do not think I can give a clear answer on the subject.”
Greg Reimer, champion two thousand and four World Series of Poker Main Event – “Personal leave me indifferent whether they wear a patch or not. I think it is very light on something. Some wear it just because they paid for it. It is like some other sites that have been proven guilty of something serious. Basics do not know if Full Tilt is guilty of anything yet … so someone is innocent until proven guilty. ”
Joe Cada, professional champion and PokerStars 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event – “I suppose some players do not wear patches because they have not returned the money to players and is somewhat skeptical. But there is another side that says Full Tilt to pay for it, work for Full Tilt so I have no problem seeing players to promote this site and wear badges, as I understand, and those who have avoided because of what happened, probably because they do not want to entangle more. ”
Humberto Brenes, professional PokerStars and holder bracelet – “I do not know what happened. Some players told me I did not intend to wear emblems of Full Tilt, and PokerStars several professionals said they had no problem. I personally am fine with PokerStars but not with Full Tilt.’s certainly good to have several companies both for players and more generally for the tournament. But when a big company gets downhill … I think that there is no good. I feel bad for my friends in Full Tilt, there may be competition, but they still are my friends. At the table we’re rivals, but outside of it friends and understand their disbelief. I do not know exactly what happened but this whole situation is definitely not ideal. “
