Party Gaming stock has rised 11% on Friday after speculations that the Austrian based sportsbetting giant might be merging with Gibraltar facing gaming super power.
After an acquisition of the WPT, Foxy Bingo and a recent recruiting of Tony G what next? It is clear cut that if this deal goes through Party will be unstoppable and if the US opens in the following year(s); Party Gaming and more importantly Party Poker will be leaving the industry in shock with a gap that will be literally impossible by any gaming operation to come near to.
The London stock listed super giant has managed in very little time to bring under its wing all the weapons it needs to start a real nuclear gaming war once its been given the green light at a time when all major sports betting and gaming companies are in debt; Party is growing. It is only realistic to say that if the deal goes through this will be the start of a real empire which the gaming industry has never again experienced.
In the recent 12 months Party Gaming and its subsidiaries have brought under its wing UK online bingo super power Foxy Bingo, the full rights of the WPT brand and Website and only recently have recruited professional poker player Tony G, and his website Tony G Poker coming in a bundle.
So if you break things down you will realize that they have managed to acquire their armed forced for the ever growing craze of online bingo in the UK (which of course ensures their position in the biggest online bingo market in the world after the US which they cannot currently approach due to the UIGEA), secondly the rights of marketing through the WPT (World Poker Tour) which gives them a competitive advantage over the US in the case that the market opens for stock listed operators (which in that case they will need an ace on hand in order to catch up with the three mega giants currently dominating the US poker audience: PokerStars, Full Tilt and Cerues hosting UB Poker and Absolute Poker), thirdly the beginning of a formation of a Pro’s team starting with the elite (Tony G) and last and best a strategic partnership with sports betting super power Bwin which will be the checkmate move in this game of internet chess.
It is worth mentioning that the report that Bwin and Party were in negotiations appears to have originated in the Austrian magazine Format, which quoted Bwin chairman Hannes Androsch as saying: “It’s true that talks are going on, but we don’t know yet whether they will succeed.” None of the 2 parties have clearly taken a position regarding this issue but non of the two parties has denied that they are currently in negotiation.
What does Bwin lack and what does Party Gaming lack? Well the Austrian based betting giant lacks the players and liquidity Party Casino and Party Poker have and Party Gaming lacks the online sports betting reputation and recognition Bwin has right? Put them together what do you get? A super power; simple maths! If you where to invest money in gaming stocks where would you put your money; the truth is yet to come.
