PokerStars EPT Monte Carlo Final – €1.7 millions to the winner!

The glamorous PokerStars.com EPT in Monte Carlo has come to an end and the winner is no other than the 23-year old Lebanese Nicolas Chouity from Beirut who managed to eliminate all 848 participants and secure the top prize of €1,700,000.00!
The winner who secured his participation on the PokerStars.com EPT Monte Carlo event via a PokerStars $22 satellite process managed to eliminate many other contenders before reaching the main table. The winner entered the final table having almost triple the number of chips than the next two poker players, which offered him an competitive edge advantage to deploy his poker style exactly the way he wanted.
The final hand was played against Austrian Josef Klinger who moved his chips all-in with pocket 88’s. At that moment, Chouity had four times more chips than his opponent. The Lebanese champion smiled as soon as he saw the pocket 88’s of Klinger and he revealed pocket Ace’s. The flop didn’t help either of them and as a result Chouity won the EPT Monte Carlo tournament and the €1.7 millions top prize.
Klinger got the second prize of €1 million while Karmazinas who finished third went home being €700,000 richest. The fourth player was Herve Costa who secured €500,000 while fifth was Andrew Chen who won €400,000. Plauski was sixth and got €300,000 while Hairabedian got 200,000. The last player, who was eliminated first was Mesbah Guerfi who went home with the eighth prize of €140,000.
Many of the poker players than took part on the EPT Monte Carlo event will travel to Paris and to Barcelona to participate to the last WPT stops before the main event of the WSOP at the beginning of July in Las Vegas, Nevada, US.
