Premier League – 8th Match day – Betting Tips
Posted on October 14, 2010 by John Trevors for Luckyroom.com
The Premier League games begin once again after the short break due to the international fixtures as the teams have already played 7 games. The eighth match day features three exciting games. On Saturday, Aston Villa hosts the game against Chelsea while on Sunday we have the local Liverpool derby between Everton and Liverpool. The eighth match day concludes on Monday with the game of Blackburn Vs Sunderland.
Saturday 16/10 15:00 – Arsenal Vs Birmingham City (Emirates Stadium)
Arsenal is currently at the 4th spot with 11 points after 7 games. Their overall record is 3 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats where they scored 16 goals and they conceded 9. Their home record is 2-0-1 with 12 goals for and 4 against. On the other hand, Birmingham is 4 points lower to the 16th spot. Birmingham so far is not playing well away from home as they managed only two draws. Certainly, Arsenal is the favorites to win this one but the offer of 3/10(1.30) is way to low. The Over 2.5 goals bet should be a good choice and it is offered slightly higher at ½ (1.50).
Saturday 16/10 15:00 – Bolton Vs Stoke City (Reebok Stadium)
Bolton is currently at the 12th spot with 8 points after 1 win and five draws. Their home record is three 0-3-0 as they scored 4 goals and conceded also 4. On the other hand, Stoke is on 7th spot with 10 points. Their away record is 1-0-2 and the goals are 3-5. This should be an evenly match game so we will propose the draw 9/4(3.25).
Saturday 16/10 15:00 – Fulham Vs Tottenham Hotspur (Craven Cottage)
Fulham is currently on the 10th position as after 7 games they managed to win 10 points. They are unbeatable at home but they managed only 1 win and 2 draws. The team scored 4 goals but conceded 3. On the other hand, Tottenham will aim for the second consecutive win that will boost them higher than the fifth spot they currently hold. This is another evenly match game although Tottenham has a good chance to win this one. The Double Chance bet of X2 is offered at 4/11 (1.36) and this will be out pick for this match.
Saturday 16/10 15:00 – Manchester United Vs West Bromwich (Old Trafford)
Manchester United is the clear favorites to this game and I cannot see beyond the home victory as anything than that will certainly count as an upset. The home win is offered at 2/7 (1.28) that is why we will choose the Halftime / Fulltime bet of 1/1 which is offered at 7/10 (1.70). West Bromwich might be just 2 points below Man U but on Old Trafford they will loose.
Saturday 16/10 15:00 – Newcastle Vs Wigan (St. James’ Park)
Newcastle United will aim for the second home victory against Wigan. Newcastle so far is playing good although they lack the ability to win points. However, at home shouldn’t have any trouble to secure the three-pointer. The home win is offered at 8/10 (1.80) which is an excellent price.
Saturday 16/10 15:00 – Wolves Vs West Ham (Molineux)
Wolves and West Ham sharing the last spot on the Premier League as both teams have only 5 points after 7 games. However, Wolves have the ability to win this one and climb at least two spots higher at the 17th or 16th spot. The home win is offered at an excellent price of 5/4 (2.25) and this will be our betting pick for that game.
Saturday 16/10 17:30 – Aston Villa Vs Chelsea (Villa Park)
Last game for Saturday is the match between Aston Villa and Chelsea which is also and the most important game of Saturday. Aston Villa will try to be the second team to beat Chelsea however, something like this will not be an easy task. The game has the draw all written on it as both teams will primary play not to loose. The draw is offered at 5/2 (3.50), the home win at 4/1(5.00) while the away win at 8/11 (1.73) which is unfair given the level of difficultly. That is why we will choose the Double Chance bet of 1X which is offered at 11/10(2.10).
Sunday 17/10 13:30 – Everton Vs Liverpool (Goodison Park)
This year’s local derby finds both Liverpool teams at disappointing position in the Premier League standings while for Liverpool the financial problems and the courts decision might make the things more difficult. Everton however will not through away this chance for a home victory against their arch rivals. Everton will win this game and on online betting sites it is offered at 11/8(2.37).
Sunday 17/10 16:00 – Blackpool Vs Manchester City (Goodison Park)
A difficult game for Blackpool as it hosts the game against second placed Manchester City. This will be just the third game at home for Blackpool as so far they have a draw and a defeat but it seems that they play much better away where they managed three wins. Blackpool has the ability to secure a draw but Manchester City seems that is capable this year to secure the right results. The home win is offered at 9/2(5.50), the draw at 11/4(3.75) while the away win at 8/13(1.61). Most likely we will watch at least three goals so the Over 2.5 Goals Bet will be our choice for this match13/20(1.65).
Monday 18/10 20:00 – Blackburn Vs Sunderland (Ewood Park)
The games played at Monday are always the most difficult to predict and the game of Blackburn Vs Sunderland is not an exception. The home win is offered at 23/20(2.15), the draw at 9/4(3.25) while the away win at 12/5(3.40). The last game they played was nearly a year ago (at December 28th of 2009) and the outcome was a 2-2 draw. Therefore, for this game the draw will be our betting pick.
