Premier league betting tips – Bet online on Chelsea Vs Liverpool
Posted on February 3, 2011 by John Trevors for Luckyroom.com
The 25th premier league match day ended without any significant changes as Arsenal remained 5 points behind Manchester United while Manchester City and Chelsea fell behind 8 and 10 points respectively. Without any doubt the most important news of the week were the transfer bombs of Torres to Chelsea and the move of Andy Caroll and Luis Suarez to Liverpool from Newcastle United and Ajax respectively.
The 26th match is scheduled for Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th of February with many important games as Arsenal travels to Newcastle, Aston Villa hosts the game against Fulham and Chelsea plays against Liverpool on the super Sunday derby.
Saturday 5th of February
12:45 Britannia Stadium: Stoke City Vs Sunderland
Stoke and Sunderland will try to get back on winning track after the recent defeats from Liverpool and Chelsea respectively. This should be a tough game as these teams are quite similar. The draw is always the first betting pick on this one.
15:00 Villa Park: Aston Villa Vs Fulham
Aston Villa has an excellent opportunity to secure a home win against Fulham which managed to secure a home win against Newcastle and climbed higher in the standings. Anything else other than host’s home win will drag the Villagers near the relegation zone.
15:00 Goodison Park: Everton Vs Blackpool
Everton played an excellent game against Arsenal but was not able to withstand the heavy pressure of the hosts and their constant attacks. However, if they play the same game against Blackpool then they have nothing to fear. On the other hand, Blackpool is slipping slowly towards the bottom of the table and needs some three pointers soon.
15:00 City of Manchester Stadium: Manchester City Vs West Bromwich Albion
Manchester City slipped another two points last week after the away draw against Birmingham and now the margin from the leaders is to 8 points. However, against West Brom shouldn’t experience any troubles and can secure easily a home win.
15:00 St James Park: Newcastle Vs Arsenal
A very interesting game will be played on St James’ Park as Newcastle (without Carroll) will face a high flying Arsenal side. If this game was played a couple of weeks ago then I would say that the odds are evenly split but the absence of Caroll pushes the balance clearly towards the Gunners.
15:00 White Hart lane: Tottenham Hotspur Vs Bolton Wanderers
Tottenham wants to add another victory in order to stay close to the spots that lead to Champions League. Currently the team is on fifth spot while Sunderland and Liverpool are approaching fast threatening even tickets that lead to Europa League. On the other hand, Bolton is performing excellently and is firmly attached on the first 8 position of the standings. The game should be a tough one but Tottenham’s home ground advantage should to the trick.
15:00 DW Stadium: Wigan Vs Blackburn Rovers
Time runs out for Wigan and unless there is a serious and constant improvement, the team will most likely will not be on Premier League next season as currently is on 19th spot with 23 points. On the other hand, Blackburn is currently enjoying mid table anonymity on a season that flows more easily that they expected. The Over 2.5 goal bet seems a good choice for this game.
17:30 Molineux: Wolverhampton Wolves Vs Manchester United
The two edges of the premiership standings are playing against each other as the last (and prime candidates for relegation) Wolves host the game against the almost certain champions Manchester United and for Alex Ferguson’s side anything other than an away win will be a failure. The quality of Man U is enough to outclass the hosts.
Sunday 6th of February
13:30 Boleyn Ground: West Ham United Vs Birmingham City
This is a very crucial game for both teams which are currently on the 18th and 17th spot with 24 points each. The winner has the chance to increase the margin for the relegation zone up to 3 points while a draw most likely will complicate the things further. The fact is that West Ham last week’s victory over Blackpool and the draw of Birmingham against Manchester City showed that both teams have potentials for better things than their current positions. The home advantage could be the factor that could lead the Hammers to the victory.
16:00 Stamford Bridge: Chelsea Vs Liverpool
The super derby of the day is about to begin and one thing is certain – it will be a great game. Chelsea and Liverpool will try to secure the victory and come closer to their targets. Fernando Torres and Drogba are on one side while Andy Caroll and Luis Suarez are on the other. Most likely we will watch a game with plenty of goals so bet on the Over 2.5 goals bet.
