Premier League – Betting Tips and Games Preview
Posted on October 1, 2010 by John Trevors for Luckyroom.com
Premier League enters this weekend the 7th turn and so far the statistics revealed some very interesting facts. First of all, unbeatable teams so far are Manchester United which is currently on the second spot three points behind the leaders Chelsea and Fulham with 1 win and 5 draws. Chelsea scored so far the most goals (21) and conceded the least (2). Five teams seem capable to battle for the championship: Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal, Man City and Aston Villa. Teams that pleasanted surprises so far are West Bromwich, Fulham, Blackburn and Newcastle while disappointing by their performances are Liverpool and Everton. Additionally, Tottenham seems not to be able to follow the pace of the five top teams. Only four teams so far where not able to secure at least a home victory (Bolton, Blackpool, Wigan and Everton) while all teams managed to secure at least a point on away fixtures.
This week 7 games are scheduled for Saturday and 3 for Sunday while on Saturday the most important game is the Tottenham Vs Aston Villa (15:00) and on Sunday the Chelsea Vs Arsenal.
2/10 12:45 GMT – Wigan Vs Wolves
Wigan is currently on the 18th spot while the Wolves are on the 17th. This is a crucial game for both teams as they seem to be prime candidates for relegation battle. The draw is quite possible despite the fact that it doesn’t suites to any of the teams. On the other hand, a safer bet should be the Under 2.5 goals as if there will be a winner it will be with a 1-0 or 2-0 max.
2/10 15:00 GMT – Birmingham Vs Everton
Birmingham is unbeatable so far at home as their record is 1 win and 2 draws where they scored 2 goals and conceded 1. On the other hand, a disappointing Everton, which lies on the bottom of the table by three draws after six matches, is still looking for its first victory. I think that Everton will be able to secure a victory otherwise things will start to be extremely difficult for the Toffees.
2/10 15:00 GMT – Stoke Vs Blackburn
Stoke hosts the game against Blackburn and eyes a perfect opportunity to secure a home win and climb up the standings. On the other hand, Blackburn will try for a draw but I think that they will not be able to secure it against a passionate Stoke side.
2/10 15:00 GMT – Sunderland Vs Manchester United
Manchester United after the away win over Valencia for the Champions League now faces Sunderland on an away fixture; given the fact that Chelsea or Arsenal might stubble a perfect opportunity to secure a victory. Something which will not be an easy task as Sunderland seems that it is too hard to die as they secured a home win against Manchester City and a draw against Arsenal, while they managed to secure an away draw against Liverpool. Given the fact that Manchester will be tired the draw is quite possible.
2/10 15:00 GMT – Tottenham Vs Aston Villa
Tottenham suffered a surprising away defeat from West Ham last week continuing the unpredictable performances. On the other hand, Aston Villa seems that after some unsuccessful results came back on winning track after the 1-2 away win over Wolves. Tottenham most likely will be able to win this one mainly because of the home ground advantage and because Aston Villa concedes a lot when playing away.
2/10 15:00 GMT – West Bromwich Vs Bolton
West Brom seeks another victory to climb up further on the Premier League Standings as currently they enjoy the 6th spot by 10 points. They have already managed to secure 7 points at home after three games and now aim for the third home victory. On the other hand, Bolton is capable for a draw but against West Brom we wouldn’t think that will be able to gain anything.
2/10 15:00 – West Ham Vs Fulham
West Ham seeks the second consecutive win in order to climb above the relegation zone but against the unbeatable – so far – Fulham which is now sponsored by a leading forex broker, fxpro and seems to has raised their game. Things will be quite difficult. However, if the Hammers manage to perform as well as on the victory against Tottenham then, most likely, will be able to win this one.
3/10 13:30 – Manchester City Vs Newcastle United
Manchester City improves every day according to Mancini as the team already counts two consecutive wins and aims for the third. On the other hand, Newcastle is able for the best and the worst but against a focused Manchester City side they do not stand a chance.
3/10 15:00 – Liverpool Vs Blackpool
Liverpool is terrible this year as so far it has managed a win and three draws after six games. Victory is the only things that it counts against Blackpool and I believe that by one way or the other they will be able to secure it. On the other hand, this will be the fifth away game for Blackpool and they should be more than happy with the 7 points they gathered so far.
3/10 16:00 – Chelsea Vs Arsenal
Both teams suffered defeats last week as Arsenal lost at home by West Brom by 2-3 while Chelsea lost away by Manchester City by 1-0. Both teams will try for the victory but according to the players’ comparison and the potential as a team my money will go for a home win. I do not think how Arsenal can gain anything after the disappointing performances against Sunderland and West Brom.
