Premier League Games: 25-26 Sept – Betting Tips
Posted on September 23, 2010 by John Trevors for Luckyroom.com
Premier League enters to the sixth match day after Wednesdays games for the League Cup – and the surprises this tournament provides. So far, Chelsea is the only team that has 5 wins after five games and as their main rivals for the championship stumble up obstacles, the Blues have already 4 points margin from Arsenal and Manchester United. Seven games are scheduled for Saturday and 3 for Sunday.
25 Sep 12:45 Man City v Chelsea
This is the first difficult game for Chelsea as it travels away to face Manchester City on a very interesting game. The Citizens are on the fourth spot with 8 points as they managed to secure 2 wins, 2 draws after five games. On the other hand, Chelsea is performing superbly so far – as we mentioned before – as they managed to score 21 goals and concede only one. Both teams score a lot, therefore we will choose the Over 2.5 goals bet offered at EVS (2.00).
25 Sep 15:00 Arsenal v West Bromwich
Arsenal struggled to draw (1-1) against Sunderland last week – partly because they were playing with 10 players – despite the fact that they scored first (a lucky goal!) and lose a penalty. However, on Emirates, Arsenal is very strong and can evenly match any opponent. On the other hand, West Brom after the 3-1 victory over Birmingham climb to the middle of the table with 7 points. Arsenal will try to score early therefore the HalfTime/FullTime 1/1 bet seems a good option offered at 6/10 (1.60).
25 Sep 15:00 Birmingham v Wigan
The match between Birmingham and Wigan is an important encounter as both teams suffered defeats on their last games. Birmingham has 6 points so far by 1 win and three draws while Wigan has 4 points after a home draw and an away win. What is important regarding Wigan is that they played already four home fixtures and gained only 1 point as their terrible defense conceded 13 goals so far. On the other hand, the hosts are counting on the home ground to gather points despite the fact that they do not score a lot. Our money on this match will go to the correct score of 2-0 or 2-1 – 15/2(8.50)towards the hosts.
25 Sep 15:00 Blackpool v Blackburn
Blackpool so far shows that under no circumstances will face any relegation danger as they team is playing quite good so far. The same data stands for – more or less – for Blackburn. Most likely we will watch a close game without many goals. The draw is a highly possible outcome 11/5(3.20) followed by the Under 2.5 goals bet EVS(2.00).
25 Sep 15:00 Fulham v Everton
Fulham hosts the match against a disappointing Everton side as the Toffees after 5 games secured only two points after two home draws. Fulham on the other hand, is playing relatively well showing signs of a hard to beat team. Everton – despite the well known players – is unable to secure the right results. Honestly I do not know what this match will produce – neither the bookies – as Fulham’s home win is offered to 2.50, the draw at 3.20 while Everton’s away win is offered at 2.80. The Under 2.5 goals bet seems a good choice.
25 Sep 15:00 Liverpool v Sunderland
Liverpool so far is tragic. The team is unable to produce results no matter of the opponent. The fans are furious with the players, the coach and the administration. This is something that Sunderland will try to use on its favor but if they have the power to achieve it or not is something different. In any other occasion I would recommend Liverpool to win this game but given their bad form I thing that the double chance bet of X2 provides more cover and it is offered at excellent price of 17/10(2.70)
25 Sep 15:00 West Ham v Tottenham
West Ham is currently at the bottom of the table with just 1 point after five games. They host the game against Tottenham which also seeks points to improve its position to the Premier League standings and once again secure a ticket for the Champions League playoff games. I think that Tottenham will be able to win this one with one way or the other. The away win is offered at EVS (2.00) and this will be our betting tip for this game.
26 Sep 12:00 Bolton v Manchester United
The first game scheduled for Sunday is the one between Bolton and Manchester United. Ferguson recently called the administration to make an offer of 100M Euros to real in order to bring Ronaldo back as he knows that the team is not the same without him. The only good news for the Red Devils is that Berbatov scores continuously, keeping Man U to the third spot of the Premier League standings. However, Manchester United has the ability to get the three points on this game and most likely will achieve it to the second half therefore our betting pick for this game is the HalfTime/FullTime X/2 10/3(4.33).
26 Sep 14:05 Wolves v Aston Villa
Wolves will try to get at least one point to the game against Aston Villa but the Villagers after the two consecutive unsuccessful results (away defeat against Stoke and a home draw against Bolton) will try to get back on winning track. They have the potentials to succeeded and with a new manager in charge I think they will be victorious in the end. Aston Villa’s away win is offered at 3/2(2.50).
26 Sep 16:10 Newcastle v Stoke
Newcastle is hosting the game against Stoke and after the two consecutive wins against Everton (away 0-1) and Chelsea (away for the League Cup 3-4) will try to secure another one over Stoke. It seems that finally Newcastle stabilized upwards and they managing to secure wins. Newcastle’s home is offered at EVS(2.00) which is an excellent choice.
