Premier League Games – Betting Picks and Tips
Posted on December 3, 2010 by John Trevors for Luckyroom.com
The 16th match day of Premier League will be completed in three parts given the fact that there will be no postpones due to the bad weather conditions as there are games scheduled for Saturday 4th, Sunday 5th and Monday 6th of December.
On previous week we had a change on leadership as Manchester United (31 points) overcame Chelsea and Arsenal which share the second spot with 29 points. On fourth spot is Manchester City with 26 points while Tottenham climbed to the fifth spot with 25 points.
On the other hand, Everton and Aston Villa performed way below expectations and currently lay at 16th and 15th spots respectively adding the pressure on managers and players. Bolton, Sunderland, Stoke and Newcastle continue to be the happy not of the premiership while Wolves and West Ham secured important wins but they remained to the bottom of the table. The big looser of the 15th match day was Liverpool which remained in the middle of the standings with 19 points.
Saturday 4th December:
Arsenal Vs Fulham, 15:00 GMT Emirates Stadium
Anything other than a home win should be count as an upset something which is also reflected to the odds of 3/10 (1.30). However, the Over 2.5 goals bet is offered at 1.57 and this will be our betting pick for this match.
Birmingham City Vs Tottenham Hotspur, 15:00 St. Andrews Ground
Tottenham shows currently an upward momentum and most likely will be the winners against Birmingham which is a good team but of lower calibre than the visitors. The away win is offered around 23/10 (2.15) which is an attractive price therefore this will be our betting tip on this fixture.
Blackburn Rovers Vs Wolverhampton Wolves, 15:00 Ewood Park
Blackburn suffered a humiliating away defeat from Manchester United last week by 7-1 while Wolves managed to secure a crucial home win against Sunderland. It is certain that those teams have a completely reversed psychology and it will be interesting how the match will go. Blackburn is quite strong at home while Wolves so far were not able to secure an away win. Most likely we will watch a tight match with the draw as a high potential outcome but it seems safer to bet on the Over 2.5 goals bet mainly because Wolves concede a lot on away games. The Over and Under 2.5 goals share the same odds of 10/11 (1.91).
Chelsea Vs Everton, 15:00 Stamford Bridge
Chelsea managed to win only one of the last five games they played while Everton didn’t enjoy a single win during the same period. The teams are on a bad shape although this is more clearly projected on Everton due to their low spot on the premier League standings table. The home win is offered at 4/10 (1.40), the draw at 16/5 (4.20) while Everton’s away win at 8/1 (9.00). I will go against the odds on this one and I will propose the Double Chance bet of X2 which is offered at 41/22 (2.86)
Manchester City Vs Bolton Wanderers, 15:00 City of Manchester Stadium
This should be another close game as Manchester City scored with great difficulty while Bolton provides stern opposition on away games. The Under 2.5 goals bet should be our choice for this game.
Wigan Athletic Vs Stoke City, 15:00 DW Stadium
Wigan must return on winning track sooner than later as another failure might push them lower on the standings. On the other hand, Stoke is currently enjoying the 8th spot while under certain conditions they have the ability to climb up to the 6th spot or to drop below 15th. However, as both teams do not score a lot of goals the Under 2.5 goals bet should be more suitable on this game.
Blackpool Vs Manchester United, 17:30 Bloomfield Road
Manchester United will try to win this one but Blackpool will not be an easy opponent. The 3/10 (1.36) away win odds is way too low to reflect the difficulty of this game therefore once again we will propose the Double Chance bet of 1X which is offered at 21/10 (3.10)
Sunday 5th of December:
West Bromwich Albion Vs Newcastle United, 13:00 The Hawthorns
West Brom and Newcastle have gained the same points (19) so far while it seems that they perform similar on both home and away fixtures. However, West Brom has the ability to secure a home win and make the last week’ away win over Everton to count. The home win is offered at 13/10 (2.30), the draw at 23/10 (3.30) while the away win at 21/10 (3.10).
Sunderland Vs West Ham United, 16:00 Stadium of Light
Sunderland shouldn’t experience any problems against relegation candidates West Ham something which is also reflected to the betting odds. Sunderland’s home win is offered at 5/6 (1.83), the draw at 5/2 (3.5) while West Ham’s away win at 10/3 (4.33).
Monday 6th December
Liverpool Vs Aston Villa, 20:00 Anfield
This is the most important game of the 16th match day of Premier League as both teams they will try to get back on winning track. As both teams under perform on the tournament there is not any other result that the win. I am expecting an open game with lot’s of goals. The Over and Under 2.5 Goals bet share the same odds of 10/11 (1.91).
