Schumacher is BACK

41 year old Michael Schumacher will be back on the racetrack after a one year contract he has signed with Mercedes GP for 7 million Euro. Schumacher is expected to make his official entry with the Mercedes team in the opening race of the season, at the Grand Prix in Bahrain on March 14th, 2010. This means that he will return to the track after 1,239 days since the last of his career to date in São Paulo back in October 2006!
Acoordingly to a press release of the Bild, Schumacher has signed a contract with the team on Tuesday (22/12) at the team’s headquarters in Brackley in the UK. The aim of the great German moto pilot is to increase his 91 victories that he count up to day in the 250 races he has joined, while starting 68 times from pole position.
Last season “Schumi” was very close to returning to Ferrari as a substitute of injured, Felipe Massa, but a problem with his neck did not allow him to renter back in time to his red land based missle.
