The moment we all waited for finally arrived as on Sunday 11th July at 19:30 GMT Netherlands and Spain will battle for the World Cup trophy. The game is expected to be a thrilling one as both teams so far justified their presence to the final.
Netherlands didn’t had any troubles to reach the final game as they advanced from the group stage on top spot after three straight victories over Denmark(2-0), Japan(1-0) and Cameroon (2-1). On the first knock out stage they faced Slovakia where they prevailed by 2-1 while on the quarter finals they played against Brazil where they secured a massive win by a 2-1 score. The semi final game was against Uruguay where by a final score 3-2 advanced to the world cup final.
On the other hand, Spain suffered a shocking defeat to their first game on the groups stage by Switzerland(0-1) but with two straight wins over Honduras(2-0) and Chile(2-1) managed to advanced to the fist knock out stage where they faced Portugal. The game was a close one but Spain managed to secure a win by 1-0 score and advanced to the quarter finals where they faced Paraguay. Another mediocre performance followed but again Furious Rojas prevailed again by 1-0. On the semi finals they faced Germany and many pundits around the world claimed that if Spain repeat the performance of the last two games will not be able to advance to the World Cup final game. However, Spain played excellently leaving absolutely no space to Germany and as Puyol scored the one and only goal they advanced to the final.
Both teams will play with full squad as there are no major injury problems but most likely we will watch a strict tactics game. Villa from Spain and Sneijder from Holland will try to score as they both battle for the world cup top goal scorer (they enjoy 5 goals each so far).
The online sports betting sites such offer Spain as slight favorites by 11/10(2.10) while the draw is set to 11/5(3.20) and Holland’s win at 13/5(3.60). The Over / Under 2.5 goals bet odds are set to 13/8(2.62) / 4/9(1.44). Villa to score at anytime is offered at Evs(2.00) while on the other hand Sneijder to score is offered to 10/3(4.33).
Prediction: This is the supreme title for a national football team so both teams will be extremely carefully on their passes and covering their defenses. Therefore the Halftime / Fulltime bet of Draw / Spain which is on offer at 7/2(4.50) should be good choice.
