Two more stops for the WPT in Europe just before The World Series of Poker begins. The first stop is scheduled for the glamorous city of Light – Paris – where the buy-in is €10,000 in No Limit Texas Holdem Event which is scheduled to begin on May 8th and will last a week until May 15th. The players start with 30,000 chips while the blind levels increase every 90 minutes. The event will take place at the magnificent Aviation Club de France.
The maximum players that can participate is limited to 400 and many of the players that participated on the EPT in Monte Carlo will travel north in order to take part in this prestigious poker event.
The second scheduled stop for the World Poker Tournament is event is scheduled for Barcelona from May 19th to May 23. The Buy-in is €3,200 + €300 and as this is the last stop of major poker tournaments in Europe before the WSOP many side events and celebrities are expected to be present. The venue will take place at the Casino Barcelona which last year attracted over 170 players producing a prize pool of over €4 millions.
All the major online poker rooms run qualifier satellites for the above mentioned events plus they have already started offering satellites for WSOP 2010 packages. The WSOP main event (event #57) which is no other than the €10,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Holdem, is scheduled to begin on July 5th and will end on July 17th.
It is important to note that the event will not be concluded that day as the top nine players will play the final on November on a date that yet has not been announced.
